AND THE GRAMMY GOES TO...: THE GRAMMYs 2013

| | 0 comentarios

The Grammys are just around the corner and as The Indie Trendy is all about new talents, is only fair to dedicate a post to the 'Best New Artist' Category.
The first thing that comes to mind as you read the list of this year's nominees is that this is quite an interesting mix of sounds and styles, in fact, one for each genre of music: we have the power pop band with the catchy single, the indie folk threesom,  the new Rock 'n' Blues band with the good old sound, the raising teenage country star and, finally, the R&B hitmaker. All talented, all relatively new and all potencial winners.
Here's a brief description of each and a music video, but first, an interesting fact: The Alabama Shakes is part of the soundtrack listing of the Oscar nominated 'Silver Linings Playbook', which coincidentally also features The Lumineers' Ho Hey in its trailer. (Hunch anyone?)
